Rule #33: Keep Calm & Carry On!

Sometimes life throws you curve balls. It may even seem like a lot of curve balls at one time! I’m talking about the random stuff that happens that you were never expecting- such as: losing your job, the end of a relationship or friendship, your car breaks down, your computer crashes, a business deal doesn’t go through, you become financially strapped, you are struggling with health problems. The list goes on and on of real-life occurrence’s. Whether it’s happening to us, our friends, family or acquaintances… we all can relate. But I’m here to tell you… that no matter what you’ve gone through in your past, or what you’re currently facing in your life now- you must “Keep Calm & Carry On”! So, what exactly is calm? The following is the first definition of the word that I stumbled upon when I googled the word. Calm- adjective: (of a person, action, or manner) not showing or feeling nervousness, anger or other negative emotions. The following words are “synonyms” that further elaborate on the actual meaning of the word calm: serene, tranquil, relaxed, unruffled, unflustered, untroubled, even-tempered, composed, cool, and collected. Strive to be calm in your life regardless of the crazy circumstances. Being calm will help you to regain peace for your mind, body, and soul. Maintaining this inner peace will help prevent anxiety, worry, stress, and fear from taking control of your mind. By keeping calm and carrying on, you will awaken within yourself the inner strength, confidence, and wisdom that you need to face any challenges. Remember, peace of mind is an inner state of being and is not dependent upon external conditions and circumstances.

  1. Accept the current circumstances

  2. Forgive yourself and others

  3. Keep calm & be pro-active in the situation

  4. Take action

  5. Express love to yourself and others to help move forward in a positive direction
