Rule #4: Forgive
Without forgiveness, there is no hope. If we are unwilling to forgive, we will be held hostage to strong feelings of sadness, anger, bitterness, guilt and resentment. These emotions will hold us captive as we become imprisoned by their strong power. Not choosing forgiveness will ultimately rob us of our future. Many people live their lives full of guilt, shame, anger, resentment, and discontent due to the nature of their hearts. They’re unable to ever move forward in their lives because of a lack of forgiveness for themselves and others. We must choose to show love and compassion to ourselves, others, and our world. In doing so, we will then be able to stop looking back in the rear-view mirror. We will be free to only look forward and to start living our lives fully in the present. When we choose forgiveness, we will be able to live lives full of freedom, abundance, and blessings. It is one of the biggest gifts that we can give to ourselves and others. Forgiveness is the beginning of healing, hope, and freedom. It has the power to change our world.
Exercise #4- Forgive: Exert forgiveness today. Whether you forgive yourself or someone who has hurt you, choose to forgive in a way that will allow you to release the pain, anger, sadness, resentment, bitterness, guilt, and shame that you’re feeling. Choose love and forgive. Your mind, body, and soul will begin to heal with this one simple act. Make it a priority to exert forgiveness every day. As a result, you will be able to live a life of more love, happiness, and freedom. Forgive today.
